Writing status

I am happy to report I've completed the short story Gem Finder and passed it along to a professional editor. After that, I will find a beta reader or two, make any final tweaks, then off it will go to market.

This means I have returned to writing the novella Ancient History. Before revising Gem Finder, I took some time to re-imagine the Ancient History story into a tighter and more interesting story (the first version wandered quite a bit, as I explored). I think it will be quite engaging when finished. I drafted the first scene yesterday and am quite excited to write the rest.

On an unrelated note, I am having sinus surgery tomorrow to correct a deviated septum. I've had several years of increasingly worse misery. I cannot wait to have this fixed and be able to breathe again. Anyway, I'm letting you all know just on the off and very slim chance the scope jabs my brain, and I end up in a coma. Which would suck. Just call me morbid! LOL
