When Liriel isn’t unearthing fraudsters or having feet-up time with his husband of 10+ years, he writes pithy fantasy. 

Raised in a family of creatives, Liriel has been a musician, webcomic artist, and DJ, but always returns to his first love, writing.

Liriel is a lifetime student of the fiction craft, having completed courses for the University of Washington Certificate of Writing Fiction in the late 1990s. He also writes science fiction, horror, and historical fiction. 

Born female and transitioned to male in his late 30s, his unusual life and formal training as an anthropologist, historian, and public administrator, bring a kaleidoscope of humanist inspiration to his characters and stories.

Ancient History is Liriel’s first book, and certainly not his last.
