Living Life

If there is one thing that the past two years have taught me, it is to live life. Granted, that means different things to different people, which is why, when asked, I default to Joseph Campbell's motto, "Follow Your Bliss." My husband and I share a certain bliss for activities we call "boat-water".

As some may not be aware, my husband and I are planning a move to Ireland this year. This means we are in the mode of completing what items we can from our Seattle-area bucket list. This holiday season has seen a few items checked off that list.

One of the bucket list items was a boat-water activity we had been meaning to do for some time: The Christmas Ships Festival on Lake Union. They canceled it last year due to the pandemic, and this year it was operating at a very low capacity.

I had never done anything like it before. My favorite part was being outside on the follow-boat during the first song performances and hearing the music echoing off the shores. The sound sent shivers down my spine. It was also quite beautiful, with all the boats decorated with lights and all the lights reflecting off the water. The weather was perfect. All the boaters were extra enthusiastic because it was the last night of the festival. And I think everyone knew the Omnicron variant was going to change things. So everyone celebrated life,

5 stars, highly recommend.

Okay, that's all for now. I have to get back to work-work.
